Swimming pool Het Hofbad in the neighbourhood Ypenburg – Den Haag is a large pool with international allure. The complex features a 50-metre competition pool, an instruction pool, a recreation pool with slide, wild water creek, and a wading pool. The competition pool features a number of diving boards and diving towers that reach a height of 5 metres and a grandstand with 500 seats.

The building features a transparent construction. Due to the open structure of the swimming hall, all pools are clearly visible. Furthermore, the pool is constructed in accordance with the newest regulations regarding sustainability and energy consumption.  This is apparent in the building’s appearance as well as in its interior. For example, the water temperature is kept at a constant temperature in order to reduce heat-loss.

For the construction of swimming pool Het Hofbad, the Den Haag municipality chose for the knowledge, quality and service of VDH Leerdam. We are the supplier of the Omega timekeeping and score-keeping products, the large LED screen and of course the stainless steel materials, such as the diving facilities … perrondoorvoeren … starting blocks, stairs, water polo goals, …. vloerpotten, … etc. VDH also provided all the lines, competition boards, starting blocks and various instructional and recreational materials.
